TalkType is a small, independent tool made by one person. These terms are short on purpose. Using talktype.app or buying a Passport means agreeing to them.

1. Free use

• Cloud transcription is free up to 10 minutes a day, in takes of up to 5 minutes. Offline Mode runs on the device and has no limit.
• Free cloud minutes come from a shared daily pool. On a busy day the pool can run dry early; TalkType then switches to on-device transcription until the next day.

2. TalkType Passport

• A Passport is a one-off payment for 365 days of supporter features. It does not renew on its own and there is no subscription.
• Each term includes 50 cloud hours (up to 2 hours a day, takes of up to 60 minutes), a styling and summary allowance, Device Sync, encrypted backups and full export. Unused hours do not carry past the term. Renewing early extends the term and tops up the allowances.
• The pass code is the Passport. Anyone holding it can use it, so keep it private. A lost code can be recovered: email pibulus@gmail.com with the Square receipt.
• Payments are handled by Square. Prices are shown in Australian dollars.

3. Refunds

• A full refund is available within 30 days of purchase, no reason needed. Email pibulus@gmail.com with the payment receipt.
• Nothing here limits rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer law of the buyer's country. If TalkType fails to do what it says, that is fixed or refunded regardless of the 30 days.

4. Fair use

• TalkType is for people dictating their own words. Scripted or automated use, reselling access, sharing a pass code publicly, or working around the limits can end a Passport without refund.
• Transcription and styling come from third-party AI services and can be wrong. Check anything important before relying on it.

5. Changes and availability

• TalkType aims to be up and working, but there is no uptime guarantee. Notes live on the device first, so they stay readable and exportable even when the cloud side is down.
• These terms can change. Changes never reduce a Passport that was already paid for.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, TalkType is provided as is, and the maker's total liability is limited to the amount paid for the Passport in question. Privacy is covered separately in the Privacy Policy.
