First Run

Quick path: add your Gemini key, test the mic, then click into any text box and use TalkType from the extension popup or inline mic button.

API Configuration

Gemini API Key

Get a free API key from aistudio.google.com. Your key stays in local Chrome extension storage on this device and is only sent directly to Google for transcription.

Transcription Style

TalkType needs microphone access to convert your speech to text.

How to Use TalkType

Enter your API key above and click Save Settings
Grant microphone access by clicking Test Microphone
Visit any website with text inputs
Click into a text box, then open the TalkType popup
Record, speak, and TalkType will place the text at your cursor
